11 Birthdays Emma Zuvers
11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass is about these two people who were born on the same day. Amanda and Leo met when they were first born and had been together for a long time. They had there birthday until they were 10 years old. Once they planned there 11 birthday Amanda and Leo got into a big argument and didn't talk for a year. That really surprised me because they have been together for a year. If you want to find out why you should go and read the book.
The main character in my book is Amanda. Amanda reminds me of my little sister because when she has birthday parties she gets all excited and motivated. Amanda does the same thing in my book she gets all happy when she can plan her birthday party. In 11 Birthdays there is a part can I can really relate to at school. In the book Amanda and Leo go to school and find out they have a pop quiz and then they want to go home. We can relate to this because when we find out there is a test coming up we all complain and want to go home.
My book relates to the book wonder. In my book it says " I can't bring myself to say I MISS YOU but I think he knows because he holds out his hands and says friends again?" This book can relate to the book wonder because Auggie had friends but then all of his friends left then came back. This book is like 11 birthdays because Amanda and Leo got in this big argument then didn't talk for a year then got back together. Another part it relates to is when Auggie sister isn't really close to him at the end. In 11 birthdays Amanda sister Kylie are not close at all.
11 Birthdays can relate to the world a lot. The most common is when her mom gets fired from her job. This happens everyday in the real world. They way her mom got fired is she grabbed the wrong poster board. She was supposed to grab her work poster but instead got the science poster that was Kylies. This happens a lot in the real world because people may think they have everything but in reality they really don't and then they get fired because of it.
Overall my book was a really good book because it gets you really engaged with the characters. One part I really liked was when Amanda and Leo got back together. I liked that [art because when they were not together the book felt empty and not the same. When he came back the book got me to read more outside of class. I suggest that you read the book because Wendy Mass is a great writer and her book will get you really into it. The way she writes her books and characters are very descriptive. Altogether you should read her book if you want to find out what happens next.
