Clockwork Princess                               The Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare is about Tessa Gray, a shapeshifter, who with the help of her friends (William Herondale & James Carstairs) tries to escape the hands of Axel Mortmain. Mortmain has been wanting Tessa for the last piece of the puzzle to whip out the Shadowhunter race forever. Mortmain says that Tessa parents aren't who she thinks they are.  Though the Council can find no warlock mark on her, the question arises who where her parents? Was one a Shadowhunter and the other a Greater Demon or was one a mundane and the other a demon?             Jem reminds me of a story I heard about a girl who knew she was going to die. Amanda and Leo met when they were first born and had been together for a long time. They had there birthday until they were 10 years old. Once they planned there 11 birthday Amanda and Leo got into a big argument and didn't talk for a year. That really surprised me because they have been together for a year.           The book I am currently reading is the The Scorch Trials  which is a fantastic, action packed book. The author is James Dashner, he has written many books and a few series. The story takes place in a post apocalyptic world devastated by a disease called the "Flare" and the the world has been covered in a desert like environment. Every city as fallen except one which goes by the name the Last City and it is super high tech and always looking for a cure. Thomas and all the other Gladers are traveling to get the cure and to survive the wasteland. They take on many obstacles including the zombie like creatures known as Cranks.  Something this book can relate to is all the past diseases in history such as Small Pox. Small Pox was a terrible disease that killed 500 million people and could of ended life as we know it. The Flare was also a terrible disease and it takes place in the Scorch Trials.             ...

 The Death Cure - Text to All      A post apocalyptic is a world I think most people wouldn't want to be fighting in. "The Death Cure", by James Dashner takes place in a disease filled planet where the only way you can survive is by being immune to the disease just like Thomas, the main character. Thomas and his friends are the only few immunes left alive the disease, the flare, is a disease that controls peoples bodies and makes them go insane. WICKED, World in Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Department, is trying to kidnap Thomas and build a blueprint for the cure to the flare. Thomas continues to lose countless friends due to bounty hunters set out to capture Thomas. Thomas is doing whatever he can to stop WICKED, even if he has to lose his friends in the process.      The Death Cure can be closely related to the book Daniel X, by James Patterson .           Im reading Warriors: Into The Wild  by Erin Hunter. Warriors: Into The Wild  is about Rusty, a house cat, dreaming about being free and wild in the forest catching mice. Then he wakes up and goes into the wild to hunt a mouse for the first time when all of a sudden he gets attacked by a gray feral cat, named Graypaw. Later two more feral cats come in and complement Rusty fighting Graypaw and say he should join their clan. later he abandons his comfortable kitty-pet life to be a wild cat, he gets the new name Firepaw which Rusty gladly accepts, not everyone accepts firepaw thought at first because they think he wouldn't be able to do anything that they can do.      I can connect this book to me by my stepmothers family not fully accepting me at first. The book begins with Riverclan, escaping their camp because a flood is destroying everything. After making it out Rainfur decides this is the perfect time to have her children, during a storm, while cats are dying. She ends up having two beautiful sons, Stormkit and Oakkit. Appropriately named due to the circumstances they were born in. Introduction               Have you wondered what it was like to live as a slave in America before the Civil War? If you have A Light to My Path by Lynn Austin is a great book for you. Even if you've never wondered that you may still love this book and all the connections you can make to it. It shows the struggles of being a slave and still trusting in the Lord. So far I am very much enjoying this book an how it's so easy to imagine the scenes the author describes. I have read about a slave named Kitty who's Missy is Claire Fuller from a very wealthy family. There also is the split perspective of Grady who was taken away from his home from a very young age and sold to a slave trader. They eventually meet and their perspectives show their thoughts about each other. In this book the reader follows their adventures and their struggles as slaves.
