The Scorch Trials - Text to All

          The book I am currently reading is the The Scorch Trials which is a fantastic, action packed book. The author is James Dashner, he has written many books and a few series. The story takes place in a post apocalyptic world devastated by a disease called the "Flare" and the the world has been covered in a desert like environment. Every city as fallen except one which goes by the name the Last City and it is super high tech and always looking for a cure. Thomas and all the other Gladers are traveling to get the cure and to survive the wasteland. They take on many obstacles including the zombie like creatures known as Cranks. Something this book can relate to is all the past diseases in history such as Small Pox. Small Pox was a terrible disease that killed 500 million people and could of ended life as we know it. The Flare was also a terrible disease and it takes place in the Scorch Trials.               The next connection I can make is Text to Self in the Scorch Trials. My connection is that in the Scorch Trials the Gladers have to overcome many obstacles and problems in there way. There is tons of cranks and different destroyed cities they have to go through. In my life I have to work with other people in a soccer game to be able to score goals while also protecting our own.
        My last connection is text to text and I am comparing The Scorch Trials and Hatchet. Both these books have plots based around overcoming tough obstacles and surviving harsh conditions. In both books there is tons of problems with finding a food source and both books have to work hard to obtain this. Not only is food a problem but the environment is very tough to survive in with all the heat and humidity.     In all there is many similar things that the book Scorch Trials can relate to. Including Text To World,Text to Text,and Text To Self which are all very important to help make connection between different topics. In all the Scorch Trials is a great book and is worth reading, and has plenty of connections and differences in it.
